The Heimann family, avant-garde winery from Hungary
In the vicinity of the city of Székszard in southwestern Hungary, the Heimann family has been growing vines for generations. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, they managed to turn the vineyards and cellar around to the standards of the contemporary viticulture. Indeed, Eastern Europe had been producing low quality, high volume wines for the Russian market for decades. Agnes Heimann is a lady whom vinifies wines in the most elegant way, based on local varietals such as Kékfrankos, Furmint or Harslevelü.
